16 of the Most Gorgeous Geometrics You Need in Your Life and your Home

How the geometric trend is shaping our interiors

The geometric trend has been around for a while now, but I'm thrilled to see we are not tiring of it's repetitive patterns and mesmerising shape structures just yet.

Instead, it's popularity is rocketing. From art prints to textiles, paint effects to kitchen accessories, furniture to jewellery, it's safe to say geometrics aren't going anywhere just yet.

Like with any sustainable trend - monochrome, florals, Scandi - it moves with the times and just keeps evolving.

A lot of people (myself included) think of geometrics as somewhat of a modern trend - I instantly think of art movements such as Cubism and mid century modern art, of Joan Miro's surrealist shapes or even Mattisse's 'Snail'.

But our love of shape and form goes way back to the Ancient Greeks and Moroccans, where beautifully intricate designs were carved or painted onto pots - see I told you it had been around for a while!

So why are geometrics so popular? Because they offer something that a lot of other styles can't, they're versatile.

Whether you're after an enormous painted canvas using every colour under the sun, or a very simple notebook, geometrics cover the breadth and depth of design needs.

They can be as simple or as over-the-top as you like and they appeal to both men and women alike.
